LA SVAIFF 2026 on November 1… SVAIFF KOREA 2026 Advisory Committee member Dr. Hoyoung Lee to speak
The Los Angeles edition of the Silicon Valley AI Film Festival, 'LA SVAIFF 2026', takes place on Sunday, November 1 (local time) at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills
Dr. Hoyoung Lee, an Advisory Committee member of our own SVAIFF KOREA 2026, takes the stage there as a speaker
The Saban Theatre opened in 1930 as the 'Fox Wilshire Theatre', an Art Deco house of about 1,900 seats; once a cinema and now a performance venue, it is regarded as one of Beverly Hills' signature cultural landmarks
The event opens with the red carpet at 3 PM and runs through finalist screenings, an industry panel and the awards ceremony before closing at 7 PM
Leaders from local AI companies and the film industry join as judges and speakers
Alongside free registration, the LA edition also sells paid tickets, and through its partner Luma it separately offers a US$688 VIP package combining ceremony admission and a VIP dinner — a contrast with the Korean edition, where everything is free
The LA edition is one of the events that make up the SVAIFF global network and is run by the US organizer, Star Alliance Culture
In Seoul, SVAIFF KOREA 2026 and the Global AI IDOL Award 2026 take place together on Thursday, December 17 at Gabin Art Hall in Samseong-dong, and thanks to the support of Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee JI LIN, who also backs the event as a sponsor, they are held as public-interest events with no entry fees, paid seats or merchandise sales
Entry and attendance are both free, and the organizer even covers the US global finals evaluation fee (US$99 per film) for the 19 prize-winning works, so creators can take part without worrying about costs
Entries are accepted October 25 – November 25 on the official website (korea.svaiff.com)
